01 Storage Method
When CoCo Gourmet arrives
01First, place everything in the freezer

CoCo Gourmet must be stored in the freezer (below -18°C). We deliver it via refrigerated courier, so please transfer it to your freezer as soon as it arrives.
It can be stored frozen for about a year and a half from the date of manufacture, allowing you to enjoy it fresh anytime. If it doesn't fit in your freezer, consider adjusting the delivery frequency or the amount sent at once.
02Take out the next day's portion and move it to the refrigerator

To maximize the nutritional value and flavor of the ingredients, transfer the portion to be given the next day from the freezer to the refrigerator (below 10°C) and let it thaw slowly. By moving it to the refrigerator in advance, you can feed it immediately without waiting for it to thaw when needed.
※When stored in the refrigerator, unopened can be stored for up to 7 days. Once thawed and opened, keep it refrigerated and give it as soon as possible.
・Stop the heat on the boiling water and soak the entire bag for about 1-2 minutes
・Thaw it by warming it for about 90 seconds in a 500W microwave.
03Give the appropriate daily portion

The daily portion of food varies depending on the dog's weight.
For adult dogs, it is advisable to divide their food into at least two meals a day. If feeding twice a day, split the daily portion in half and feed twice.
Additionally, if the dog finds it difficult to eat due to its size, consider breaking up the food to make it easier for them.
CoCo Gourmet is delivered in small 100g packages, allowing you to hygienically take out just the right amount for your dog.
01Storage at Room Temperature OK

CoCo Gourmet Retort is a meal that can be stored for a long time at room temperature.
As long as you avoid high temperature and humidity, no freezer or refrigerator storage is required.
CoCo Gourmet Retort can be stored for about 2 years from the manufacturing date. It is safe for use during travel or as an emergency stockpile.

02 How to enjoy it deliciously
Heat it up to make it even tastier
Dogs don't like their food too hot or too cold.
When feeding, always thaw it, and if possible, warm it to about body temperature.
01Thawing in hot water
Bring water to a boil in a pot, then turn off the heat, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then put in CoCo Gourmet and let it soak for about 1 minute to warm it up.
If frozen, let it soak for about 5 minutes to thaw.

02Thaw in the microwave
Warm it for about 90 seconds in a 500W microwave and check the condition.
If transferring to a plate, do not cover it with plastic wrap, heat it under the above conditions.
If thawing in the bag, be sure to cut an opening in the bag, place the bag on a heat-resistant plate, and heat it under the above conditions.
※To ensure even heating, stir the food before feeding.
※The above conditions are a guideline for 100g. Depending on the microwave model and amount, the results may vary, so adjust the heating time as needed.

03 How to introduce it for the first time
Getting accustomed to CoCo Gourmet
When CoCo Gourmet arrives, for the first week, try feeding half CoCo Gourmet and half of their usual dog food. You can either serve CoCo Gourmet and dry food on separate plates or divide one plate in half, allowing your dog to enjoy their meal.
If after a week there are no issues, you can switch entirely to CoCo Gourmet.

How to transition carefully to CoCo Gourmet
The above method should be sufficient to care for your dog's health, but for those who want to be even more careful, here's a more gradual approach to transitioning to CoCo Gourmet.
For dogs who have only ever eaten dry food, sudden changes to homemade or wet food can cause digestive issues if their digestion is weak. To avoid diarrhea or vomiting, take about two weeks to gradually transition to CoCo Gourmet.
The basic guideline is to "observe the stool." If the stool is firm and well-digested, you can switch completely to CoCo Gourmet.
If undigested food is present in the stool or if there is diarrhea, gradually mix CoCo Gourmet with the dry food you have been using while increasing the amount slowly.

Observe your dog's stool for any abnormalities. If it is loose, reduce the amount fed. If there are no issues, gradually increase the amount.

Check the stool carefully to see if there are any undigested ingredients. If there are, lightly mash the food before feeding.

However, continue to monitor the stool's shape, watch for undigested food, and keep an eye on your dog's overall health.
